Michael Clayton is a very talented close-up and stage entertainer, with over 25 years of performing experience in the Memphis/Mid-South area.

Helped Television Stars Mallory Lewis and Lamb Chop raise funds to support literacy.
In 2011, Michael is selected as official Memphis and Shelby County magical spokesperson for Ready Shelby Campaign.
In the Fall of 2011, Michael Clayton was selected as a feature artist for Spoon Magazine, a local dining and art publication. This feature was sponsored by Downtown Memphis’ Silly Goose.

      Michael Clayton became interested in magic at a very young age, while watching magicians Mark Wilson, and Doug Henning perform for television. One television program that provided a significant impact to Michael was, “The Magician” starring actor Bill Bixby.  This program ran briefly during the 1973 and 1974 programming season.  Magician Mark Wilson provided the technical assistance to Mr. Bixby during this series.

 

    A significant influence to Michael was also made by Dick Williams.  Star of the local television series Magicland. Magicland holds a Guinness Book of World Records for being the longest running magic television series in history. Michael appeared as a guest magician on the 16th anniversary show.

 

      In 1988 Michael began performing professionally, and has logged many hours performing for various corporate customers, and private engagements.

 

    Specializing in the classics of magic, Michael Clayton brings a fresh approach to the art of magic, with contemporary music, and theatrics.
